Shawl Crochet Vintage Crochet Shawl Question?

Vintage Crochet Shawl Question? - shawl crochet

I'm trying to catch a vintage scarf. I've just finished the 1st Row and I am sure that I vomited. To tell you the instructions:

1. Row: * Miss 4 ch., Then the next point, work 4 Tr. 1, ch. and 4 Tr. Miss 4 ch. 1 DC in next, repeat from * until end of the line and ends with a half-block (eg, 4 Tr. 1 point) contact. The tr should be the mesh of one inch height and a top speed of many tricks are to be measured strictly limited.

2. Series: Miss made only half-block, * 4 Tr. 2 to 3 points below the average block, 1 ch., then 4 Tr. 2 to 3 points of the half block that is lost (working more than just the 4th TR), 1 dc in ch. the middle of the next block, the average miss next block, repeat from * until) the end of the line and ends a half-block (in the last half block from the previous row, turn.

Now that I'm about to start in row 2, I think I messed up. I spent the whole first row and give each tr that the circuit itself. I'm beginning to believe that h e had to make up to 4tr in one cycle (one block?). What I am doing well, or do I have to announce to the last line and try 4 tr. in a single cycle?

I knitted blankets and things before, but this is the first thing I want a model and terminology sometimes try to travel myself. Also, another question while I'm here ... He said repeat row 2 until desired 54 "in height and length, but here are available in various direction of line 4 for use. This line is not '4 'is the first line after reaching the desired altitude, 4th line or real ? Thanks for the help!
